About Us – Workflow Ink
I live in Silver Lake. Most mornings the light comes in sideways across the desk before I open anything. I trained at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, majoring in Advertising with years of graphic design and visual communication layered on top. After that I worked as a junior copywriter and designer, then spent a long stretch as Creative Director at a mid-sized independent agency in Los Angeles. We built brand platforms, campaign territories, visual systems, and client pitches. The work was never about the first attractive idea. It was about what still held after the third revision and the real constraints of the brief.
These days I work selectively as an independent creative consultant. Most of my time goes into running complete AI workflows the same way I used to run campaigns—full brief, multiple revision passes, consistency checks, time and cost notes, and a final deliverable I would or would not put my name on. I keep screenshots, rejected outputs, prompt revisions, and handwritten logs instead of trusting memory. The private archive of tools I’ve tested is larger than the list of tools I still use.
Julian Reyes, my long-term partner, is usually the first person who sees the useful or strange discoveries. We don’t have children. I still take street photographs around Los Angeles and maintain a personal visual archive. Occasionally we collaborate on small projects, but most of the testing happens alone at the desk with the same question I used to ask in the agency: does this survive contact with actual work, or does it only look good in the demo?
I started writing these tests down because the gap between polished first outputs and usable finished work kept showing up. The demos were impressive. The revision behavior, the consistency across a short series, and the final “would I send this to a client” filter told a different story. Workflow Ink is simply the place where those full runs get documented—what held, what failed, what I kept, and what I deleted.
